BFF magic happens in the strangest places for adults. We’re out of school – the easiest and most obvious friend-making place on the planet – and for those of us not into the bar scene who may or may not have picked up our entire existence to move from a giant city to a tiny town to take up 🍅🍅🍅 farming (also a thing), we meet in the next best place. ☕️☕️☕️

Business as usual is cool if you’re into throat punching risk at all costs. Heirloom is a show about tomatoes, sure. But it’s also a show about the unbridled bravery of one woman just like you who was willing to take a risk. That’s the thing about risk. You never know where you’re going to end up, but the journey makes for one juicy (🍅 couldn’t help it 🍅) ride.

Mom. Best friend 👭. Rock. Backbone. Advice giver 🤔. Best hugger on the planet 🙌🏼. Person who will fight bears with her bare hands and is ready with a tight-lipped glare in a dark alley atop of bed of broken glass to protect you 👊🏼. She’s fierce 💃🏼. She’s wise 🤓. She’s good 🤗. She’ll drop everything for you 😘. She’ll listen 👂🏼. She’ll do her best to help 💪🏼.

In a new place, she’s home. You’re a verifiable grown up and can make your own decisions, but you still love to know she’s proud of you and has your back. Dirt road walks and heart-to-hearts make all the change, sleepless nights, and what-am-I-doings doable.

If you’ve ever picked up and moved your life (and sanity) from a huge city to a small town, you get the culture shock. Why isn’t Starbucks on every corner? ☕️ Where’s the WIFI? 📡 What’s with all these dropped calls? 📵 Why does GPS not work? 🚗 What’s that smell? 🐄🐓🐖

Nothing’s the same and yet somehow everything is familiar. That’s what happens when your heart finds home. That’s also what happens when you befriend a local barista who draws you a map to someplace you’ve never been and is silently rolling her eyes at your reliance on technology and independence. Everybody has that friend, right?

New and familiar. That’s the name of the game. Of course learning how to slay the 🍅🍅🍅 game is all kinds of new, huh?, and what even? Oh well. We’ll take that over updating our new iPhones any day of the week.
