If you’ve ever picked up and moved your life (and sanity) from a huge city to a small town, you get the culture shock. Why isn’t Starbucks on every corner? โ๏ธ Where’s the WIFI? ๐ก What’s with all these dropped calls? ๐ต Why does GPS not work? ๐ What’s that smell? ๐๐๐
Nothing’s the same and yet somehow everything is familiar. That’s what happens when your heart finds home. That’s also what happens when you befriend a local barista who draws you a map to someplace you’ve never been and is silently rolling her eyes at your reliance on technology and independence. Everybody has that friend, right?
New and familiar. That’s the name of the game. Of course learning how to slay the ๐ ๐ ๐ game is all kinds of new, huh?, and what even? Oh well. We’ll take that over updating our new iPhones any day of the week.
